Risen Energy Advances Gender Equality and ESG Initiatives in Partnership with UNGC


Risen Energy, a leading player in the photovoltaic industry, recently participated in a significant event at the United Nations Building in Beijing. The company attended the completion ceremony of the "Gender Equality Goal Accelerator" training program and reviewed the "Women at Work: Guidelines and Good Practices for Advancing Environment, Society, and Governance in the Second Half of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development."

Our ESG executive team engaged in a nine-month training program focused on gender equality. This program provided them with the latest insights into legal frameworks, supporting policies, and practical cases related to gender equality. The training emphasized the benefits of diversity and inclusion and highlighted potential risks associated with negative representation, equipping participants with the tools to implement gender equality more effectively.

Since joining the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in 2021, Risen Energy has been dedicated to advancing global sustainable development through actionable steps. We adhere to the UNGC's "Ten Principles," ensuring fair and equal treatment for all employees, promoting equal pay, and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

To reinforce its commitment to gender equality, Risen Energy has established robust management systems. These include the Anti-Discrimination Control Procedure, the Prevention of Harassment and Abuse Procedure, and the Supervision and Reporting Management Regulations. These measures are designed to prevent discriminatory practices and safeguard the rights of all employees, with no reported incidents of gender discrimination to date.

Risen Energy also focuses on supporting special female groups by implementing parental leave and breastfeeding leave policies and organizing female care and parent-child activities. These efforts aim to create a supportive and harmonious working environment.

Looking ahead, with strong backing from senior management, Risen Energy plans to continue its ESG learning and development. The company will enhance its capacity building, raise awareness, utilize ESG performance analysis tools, set clear goals, and diligently track and report its progress to align with UNGC actions and contribute to global sustainable development.
